Cultural Calendar for Google Calendar
About our Cultural Calendar:
We have identified key dates for each Spanish-speaking country. It includes links to information and resources you may share with your students about each unique, culturally important date. With one click, you can access a variety of resources for many holidays in seconds.
How to add our Cultural Calendar to your Google Calendar:
You will only have to do this one time. Once you add the Cultural Calendar to your Google Calendar you will get all the updates for the following years!
Follow these steps to add the Cultural Calendar to your calendars on your Google account:
1. Click the following link: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=speakinglatino2011%40gmail.com
2. The Cultural Calendar will automatically open in your browser.
3. Click the +GoogleCalendar button located at the bottom-right corner.
4. Click Add when prompted. (If you are not logged in to your Google account, the login window will open first.)
5. The Cultural Calendar should now appear under “Other calendars” along with your other calendars.
Note: Check or uncheck boxes to display only the calendars you would like to see at the moment. This is ideal if you manage many calendars under your account.
How to navigate the Cultural Calendar
1. Change the view from weeks to monthly (and many others) by clicking on the button in the upper right corner.
2. Use the arrows on top to browse each month.3. Click on each date to reveal the details. The details include an external link with more information and resources about the celebration.
